{Monday Flowers} Summer Blooms
Happy Monday! Monday’s are hard enough, but in the summer it is that much harder to get the week started. That is why I have made Monday’s my flower day. Picking up fresh blooms on the way home always makes my day a little brighter and helps set the tone for the upcoming week. Here are a few of my summer favorites.
No. 1 {Sunflowers}: A true summer staple that will add sunshine to any room. A few stems will go a long way and while I love a large centerpiece, they are also great in bud vases around the house.
No. 2 {Alstroemerias}: These are low maintenance and when bunched together tightly are a lovely kitchen or living room centerpiece that will last a good two weeks.
No. 3 {Peonies & Poppies}: Peonies are one of my favorite flowers, so when they are in bloom you will always find them in my house. They can be a bit on the expensive side, so picking up just a few for bud vases will help you enjoy them throughout the house. When picking them out, be sure to look for a tightly closed bud. If it is already open, it won’t last very long.
