I am back! It is amazing how taking a few days to get away can really help reset a girl. I was in Bermuda for a girls weekend with my girlfriend from college, Jessie. We stayed at the Fairmont Southampton and trust me when I say, if you go to Bermuda, THIS is the place to stay. Between a little beach time, some paddle boarding, and a trip the spa, we found ourselves in cocktail heaven. So, for today’s Travel to Table, we bring you the Bermuda staple, the Dark ‘n’ Stormy. Enjoy!
Receipe for Dark ‘n’ Stormy via Esquire
- 2 ounces dark rum
- 3 ounces ginger beer
Combine the rum,* the ginger beer,** and the lime juice, which is optional, in a tall glass full of ice cubes. Stir. The key here is nailing the precise ratio between the spice of the ginger beer and the richness of the rum. Depending on brands of each used, you may want to play around with the proportions.
