in the kitchen // the blood-orange mimosa

To be honest I really wasn’t in the mood to throw a party this year, so instead I whipped up some mimosa’s and called it a day (given I was rooting for the Broncos, the orange felt like a good idea- guess my juju didn’t work) In any case, the recipe is a cinch and gave me an excuse to use my new juicer.

{Blood-Orange Mimosa}

Serves: 8 people


  • 1 bottle Prosecco
  • 2 cups blood-orange juice, freshly squeezed (about 8 oranges)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 8 blood-orange slices for garnish

Prep: Stir together juice and sugar until dissolved and chill (about an hour) Combine with Prosecco and it’s ready to serve.
